The idea

the working estate

an elevated operating farm  ·  since 1904

Set in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, enveloped by mist-veiled peaks and cascading rhododendrons — 115+ acres of Fraser firs and blueberries at 3,600 feet, just the height for a perfect view of Lake Glenville.

Here at Chimney Pond Farm, we strive to anticipate guest needs before they ask — attending to every detail with care, and offering generosity without expectation. Hospitality with restraint, on a farm that still works for a living.

“Rooted in Nature, Refined by the warmth of our Hospitality”

The farm

Life is better with alpacas

Meet the herd and their Great Pyrenees protectors. Guided tours run through the Fraser fir fields and blueberry bushes; the rainforest rains keep both impossibly green. This hillside has been farmed since 1904, and it still earns its keep.

Alpaca Feeding

$10 per feed

Get up close and personal with our gentle alpacas in a relaxed, hands-on feeding session.

Farm Assistant

$50 per person

Wake up early and support the operation of the farm — enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour, feed the animals, and interact with the team.

Farm Tour

$25 per person

A 45-minute guided tour through sustainable farming practices, Christmas tree varieties, and our resident animals. Educational and interactive for the whole family.

Wedding Experience

$725 for two alpacas

Add an unforgettable touch to your special day with two of our best-dressed alpacas as wedding guests.
